    The Barlow Collection

The small jar tapers from a wide rounded shoulder down to the flat base, the lowest part of the sides faintly flaring and the very low neck curved outward. The light beige-coloured pottery body is covered with a bright green glaze, which ends in an uneven line halfway down the sides, and retains its colour only on the neck inside, the outside having degraded to a strong golden lustre. The lowest part and base are left in the biscuit.
