    The Barlow Collection

The shallow bowl has curved sides, a flared rim and a splayed foot. It is made of beige-coloured and reddish-brown clays kneaded together, but the foot is made of brown clay only and appears to have been seperately added. The lowest part of the sides, where the foot was joined, are also covered with plain brown clay. The piece is glazed in a translucent honey-coloured tone, except for the base; the glaze has pooled to a glassy patch inside the bowl.
