    The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)

    Thin; square with re-entrant angles; the seppadai and single oval hitsu united by flat bars to the border of open strapwork, which consists of two overlapping squares at each corner, with straight lines connecting them; traces of fine brass wire inlay on both faces of the border, mostly in parallel lines.

    Much rusted and perhaps burnt.
