The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band with a single row of linked alternating diamonds and hexagons. The geometric shapes are embroidered in brown and blue. The diamonds each contain a star; the interior design of the hexagons cannot be read for certain, but may be a four-armed spiral. Along both sides of the band is a border with hexagons, each holding an S-shape.

The main band and borders are separated by a single line of brown cross stitches.
