The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries
A band with diagonally placed divisions containing a) a grid of fine lines at right angles to each other, or b) a cross and two triangles. The design alternates.
The band covers the entire width of the fragment. Along one sides there are remains of a flax backing, sewn on with an open seam.
