    This print brings together many elements seen in Xu Bing’s early woodcuts and landscape sketches, including the sheep seen in one of his sketches (LI2007.45). Their treatment is however quite removed from the drawing of those works from life, and anticipates Xu Bing’s later conceptual prints.
