This exquisitely illuminated codex contains 14 prayers popular in the shi‘i tradition. The first seven for each day of the week, starting with Friday, and the remaining seven mix verse and prose and are ascribed to shi‘i imams. A dedication to Fath ‘Ali Shah Qajar (1797-1834) suggests that it was produced for the personal use of this ruler.
