    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian backed with transparent glass of the same colour; bezel, edge slightly rounded; oval. Five lines placed inside elongated compartments with single-lobed or trilobed lateral sides. Cursive script; engraved.

    (1) 'In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
    (2) Say: "I take refuge with the Lord of men, the King of men قل اعوذ برب الناس ملك الناس
    (3) the God of men from the evil of the slinking whisperer اله الناس من شر الوسواس الخناس
    (4) who whispers in the breasts of men الذى يوسوس في صدور الناس
    (5) of jinn and men." ' (Qur. CXIV) من الجنة والناس

    There are some schematic floral motifs spread over the ground.
