Literature notes
The conical bowl is slightly constricted below the rim, with a ridge on the inside. The foot is coarsely shaped, tapering and nearly solid, with a low, unevenly cut footring. The coarse yellowish-beige stoneware has been coated with a matt brown dressing and a brown glaze with a soft sheen, applied in two layers, the glaze stopping halfway down the outside, the dressing leaving only the foot and base free. The inside shows overall brownish and bluish suffusions with an uneven pattern of prunus blossoms, reserved in brown by application of papercuts. -
