    The Barlow Collection

The bowl has rounded conical sides with a flared rim and a low straight foot. The inside is incised with a lotus scroll with a bloom, leaf and stems of arrow-head, all with quickly incised outlines and combed details. The centre and outside are undecorated. The dark buff ware is covered with a pale yellowish celadon glaze, which leaves the rough body exposed at the foot and base. The rim is bound in copper.
