    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    Curving tendrils with small leaves fill a wide band; there are the remains of a border with S-shapes. The design is worked in yellow split stitch outlines against a blue background done in slanted counted filling stitch.

    The embroidery is badly deteriorated. Some blue flax thread has been stitched over part of the fragment, for an uncertain reason.
