    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    Three bands filled with linked hexagons, each containing a square with two narrow bands of S-shapes, adjoined by a small diamond on either side. The hexagons are linked to each other with a diamond-and-hook motif.

    A rolled and whipped hem along one side of the textile; two long bands are placed parallel to the hem. At right angles is the third band. The two parallel bands are 3 cm wide, the third one at right angles is slightly wider (3.5 cm).
