The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A tear-shaped ?blazon with a blue surround and red patterning inside. This is very difficult to read, as it is deteriorated, but at the bottom there seems to be a crescent-shaped vessel, with an arabesque plant emerging, flanked by two birds.

Laid threads are couched down over surface satin filling stitches.
