This superb Qur’an is known as the ‘Tipu Sultan Qur’an’ after the name of one of its owners, the ruler of the Indian Kingdom of Mysore (1782-1799). It is amongst the treasures of the Bodleian Oriental Collections. The pages shown here contain the du‘a al-khatm, the prayer that closes the recitation of the whole Qur’an.
