The Barlow Collection
The U-shaped bowl rests on a thick, somewhat tapering foot and has a shallow domed cover with everted rim. The base is slightly pointed. The cover is carved with a stylized lotus bloom with overlapping pointed petals around a central raised dot. The bowl is similarly carved with lotus petals. The glaze has fired a dark olive-green, the exposed biscuit at the rims and footring is buff to brown.
