    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian; bezel (but front face very slightly rounded), bevelled towards the front; oval. The inscription is distributed in the central oval ground (A), defined by one oval line, and in the border (B), surrounded on the exterior side by one oval line. One ensemble (A) and one line (B); cursive script; engraved.

    A - 'My sufficiency is God' (Qur. IX, 130/129 and XXXIX, 39/38) حسبي الله
    B - There is no god but God, Muḥammad is the Prophet of God. لا اله الا الله محمد رسول الله

    There are some linear decorative motifs, consisting of short straight strokes crossed by one or two other strokes, spread on the ground.
