The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)
Mokkō; the edge hammered up; in negative silhouette, occupying the centre of the field, is a swimming duck, the eye and beak in gold incrustaion and one leg in gold inlay; on each face the water is represented by light sunk modelling and the profile of the bird is bordered by a powdering of gold inlay; a few falling cherry petals in silver incrustation.
