The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)
Chased to represent simple matting; on the front in iroye incrustation is a pendent branch of plum-blossom with an owl perched on it; at the back merely a few dandelions (tampopo) and other lowly plants, etc.; shibuichi rim and rh. linings; kōgai-hole plugged with start-punched lead.
