    Low or sunk relief and iroye incrustation, with katakiri; the Three Sake Tasters round a big wine-jar; at the back a pine-tree. Signed: Sekijōken [Japanese text] Taizan [Japanese text] Motozane [Japanese text] with kakihan [Figure], giōnen shichijissai ("aged 70"). (If Motozane I, as is probable, this dates the guard to about 1809, as he died in 1829, aged 90.)
