Hiroshige’s Views of Mount Fuji
The Department possesses two variants of this print; in the one shown here, the cloud-band at the centre is brown, in the other version [EA1959.68], it is in pale blue. This reflects a different printing, rather than a new edition, where the printer, possibly on his own initiative, has made a change.
