The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)
Symmetrically pierced with five large openings of kidney shape with their inner edge cusped; these enclose three flowers and two leaves intended to be those of the chrysanthemum; the remaining ground (except the border and seppadai) on each face is covered with scrolling stems in gold and silver wire nunome; edge richly nunome-gilt.
