Nawab and ladies watching a nautch

  • Description

    On a palace terrace by a lotus lake, a nobleman and his ladies are entertained by nautch girls (dancers) and female musicians. In the distance, musicians play horns and kettle-drums, while half-hidden sky deities offer garlands.
