Calligraphic specimens were avidly collected in the Islamic world. These did not only include single verses or entire poems, but also exercises by illustrious masters. Gathered in albums, these examples were used by training calligraphers to perfect their hand.
Objects are sometimes moved to a different location. Our object location data is usually updated on a monthly basis.
