Modern Chinese Paintings: The Reyes Collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
Liu Maoshan from Jiangsu province studied European drawing before taking up traditional Chinese ink painting. Since 1990 he has travelled in the United States and Europe, producing many views of famous monuments and small towns in the style of these album leaves.
