    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    Two bands with tendrils, leaves, and narrow scrolling borders are closely joined. All outlines are worked in yellow stem stitch, possibly with some remains of split stitch; the background is blue filling stitch worked in straight rows. At right angles to the bands are the remains of maroon floral embroidery worked in ?split stitch.

    Three pieces are joined together; the one at right angles to the other two is a different fabric. There are two seams.
