The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries
A horizontal band with a central cross flanked by paired leaves, embroidered with split stitch yellow outlines against a blue background worked in slanted counted filling stitch.
The band fills the width of the textile, which has a selvedge along one side and a finely rolled hem along the other.
