    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A band divided into patterned areas, containing diagonal rows of small geometric motifs, separated by horizontal bands of diamond pattern. One end has a truncated diamond-shaped medallion flanked by two birds within a triangle.

    There is a selvedge along one long side, and a hem along the other.
