Chinese Paintings in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford
Fei Chengwu studied under Xu Beihong and specialised in Western-style painting, later becoming professor at the Central University in Nanjing. In 1947 he arrived in Great Britain on a British Council scholarship; he settled in London and switched to traditional Chinese painting.
