In this unfinished work Muhammad Shah (ruled 1719-1748) sits enthroned on a garden terrace. The courtiers facing him are Nizam ul-Mulk, ‘Itimad ul-Mulk, ‘Azam Khan, Samsam ud-Daula and Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. Behind the emperor are Muzaffar Khan and Burhan ul-Mulk, with chowry fans, and Zafar Khan.
