Chinese Prints 1950-2006 in the Ashmolean Museum
Sang Jiya, an ethnic Mongolian, studied art at the Lu Xun Academy of Literature and Art in 1947 and graduated from the Huadong branch of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1958. After his return to Inner Mongolia, he worked as a teacher and editor, and acted as Chairman of the Chifeng Artists’ Association. He specializes in Chinese ink painting.
