A series of bands of different width, the widest with red medallions against a background of interlaced tendrils. This band has a band of purple carnations on one side, and a band with red grapes on the other. There is the beginning of a wide field with separate assymetric plants, each with three flower-heads.

The designs show Persian design in the bands, and Indian Mughal treatment in the wide field. The reverse is considerably less saturated with dye than the surface.
