A wide band with elaborate tendrils and flowers, and next to it a band of red and white crenellations, as in Cat. no. 579 [EA1990.586]. Additional narrow bands, one with a linked flower chain, next to it a row of quatrefoils, and finally near the selvedge a band with a continuous vine and small arches. There is an alternate use of white pattern on brown and red grounds.

?Selvedge. Stitching with pink thread is likely to be modern repair work. The reverse is very slightly less saturated with dye than the surface.
