The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Two bands, one each placed parallel to the narrow ends of the textile. The bands are filled with a continuous vine scroll. The embroidery fills the background.

The width of the bands is 0.5 cm. There is a selvedge along one long side, and a fine rolled hem along the three other sides. The textile is the complete inset of a garment.
