    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    Linked crosses are arranged in a line and as small clusters.

    The piece is the front of a slipper, with overcast edging and leather binding. A linen fabric is covered with blue silk and embroidered. There is a fine leather edge as well as remains of leather against the back, which was the slipper's inside.
