The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A band with ornate hexagons, linked by a diamond with four bird heads emerging from it. The hexagons have a pearl border and contain seven small diamonds against a background of dots. The band has a border of small triangles alternating with heart-shaped leaves.

A crudely sewn seam holds two pices of the fragment together; one is the reverse side. The width of the embroidered band is 5.5 cm.
