The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Two bands with hexagons containing diamonds and separated from each other by a double spiral with a small diamond at the centre. Between the bands and along either side of them are small squares with two trefoil finials and containing a cross. The embroidery defines the design. Along two sides of the cloth is a border band with a chain pattern.

The textile is a complete rectangular cloth with remains of blue stitching on all four sides.
