    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A band with diamonds containing facing arrows, and separated by paired arrows, as in EA1984.190; on either side is an additional border band with a single row of chevrons. The black embroidery defines the design.

    The central band is 3 cm wide, the two borders are 0.7 cm each. They are set at right angles to the selvedge and cover the full length of the fabric.
