The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

Pink, blue, yellow, and brown silk strips have been sewn together into diamonds. They are embroidered with eyelet rosettes and quilted with running stitch. Raised parallel rows of herringbone separate the diamonds into bands.

The quilted textile has a linen backing. There are the remains of an opening which has a hem and a draw string passed through it.
