In a famous episode from the Mahabharata, the five Pandava brothers are humiliated by their Kaurava rivals, who have won all their possessions and even their joint wife Draupadi in a dice game. The Kaurava prince Duhshasana attempts to strip Draupadi naked before the assembly. But her honour is miraculously preserved: as fast as her garments are removed, new ones appear in their place.
