Figure of eight-armed Durga slaying the Buffalo-demon

  • Description

    The gods each lent their particular weapons to Durga, to enable her to overcome an over-mighty Buffalo-demon who was threatening their heaven. This demon could change his form at will. After a long struggle the Goddess beheaded the demon as he emerged from the buffalo into human form.
