Path through woods to a thatched house

  • Description

    A view of a path through woods is a frequent subject among Xu Bing’s early drawings. Jean-François Millet’s use of simple outlines to depict the trees is a method also favoured by Xu Bing in his rural sketchbooks of the early 1980s.
