Textile fragment with tendrils and tear-drops

Elaborate tendrils with tear-drop-shaped flower-heads that either hold a rosette or a frame of dots; the selvedges have a narrow band of six-petalled rosettes. The tendrils are red on a white ground.
The fabric is sewn together from two pieces, each with a selvedge as an outer edge. This was done by someone who did not take care to keep the surface and reverse in order, as the surface as it appears now shows one side of the reverse. Although the tendrils are equally precise on either side, the flower-heads with beaded frames are filled with red on the reverse, which loses the definition of the pattern. Additional fragments are sewn on to two edges. -
