  • Description

    Throughout the Cultural Revolution the porcelain kilns at Jingdezhen, renowned as the imperial kilns since about AD 1400, continued to produce good quality porcelain. Much of the output used the forms and decoration of revolutionary imagery.

porcelain

  • porcelain

    Ceramic material composed of kaolin, quartz, and feldspar which is fired to a temperature of c.1350-1400⁰c. The resulting ceramic is vitreous, translucent, and white in colour.
