The Friendship Hotel, Beijing

  • loan
  • Description

In the 1970s the Friendship Hotel was almost exclusively for foreign visitors. Distinguished official guests were welcomed there by China’s leaders, and it was one of the few residential options for locally employed foreign workers. It is located in northwest Beijing, not far from Xu Bing’s childhood home at Peking University.
