    Yang Yanping is a painter. She graduated in architecture from Qinghua University, after which she taught industrial design and created historical paintings for the Museum of Chinese History. She is a member of the Beijing Academy of Painting. In 1976 she settled in Long Island, New York, with her husband, the painter Zeng Shanqing. She has exhibited widely, separately and with her husband, in the US, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Europe.
