    Catalogue of Islamic Seals and Talismans

    Cornelian; bezel, bevelled towards the front; oval. Two lines of cursive script (nasta`līq), with dots. The two lines are separated by the return of the loop of the final yā’. A date at the beginning of the first line.

    (2) Hedāyat هدايت

    In the interior of the oval ground, there is an oval stem with some branches ending with half-leaves or having small schematic flowers consisting of two parallel strokes, or one flower head consisting of five dots. One line follows the shape of the gem.
