The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

A large field is filled with dark blue embroidery; the design is defined by the unstitched parts. It is difficult to read, but may show the beginning of a wide chevron design. There also is a border band with s-shaped tendrils and palmette and half-palmette leaves. Again, the design is defined by the unstitched areas.

The slanted counted filling stitches are worked in straight rows.
