  • The A.H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba) by Albert James Koop

The A. H. Church Collection of Japanese Sword-Guards (Tsuba)

Four bars crosswise join the border to the seppadai and ryƍhitsu, leaving four large rounded openings, each filled by a symmetrical spray of three aoi leaves springing from the seppadai; fret-piercing with engraving finish to the leaves.

The iron is cracked in one or two places and is not of good quality therefore; the cutting also is not very fine.
