    The Barlow Collection

The small bowl has rounded sides with a widely flaring rim, and a straight narrow foot with a pointed base. The outside is carved in relief with narrow lotus petals, the body is near-white, the glaze of beautiful light blue-green colour with a large-scale crackle, the unglazed footring brick red. The inside has polished-down traces of grit, the rim has a gold lacquer repair decorated with tiny square flakes of gold leaf in a different tone.
