    The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries

    A band contains small diamonds, each filled with a quatrefoil flower. The spaces between the diamonds repeat half of this floral design. There is a border of stylized palmettes. The embroidery defines the patterning.

    There are three remains of seams, two of them flat. The band was probably part of a garment.
